Two-Panel Corner Geometry
Two perpendicular heavy-glass panels meet at the bathroom corner with glass-to-glass clips and a vertical seam, separating this layout from curved, neo-angle, or single-panel inline configurations.
A 90-degree corner enclosure is built from two perpendicular heavy-glass panels anchored to the bathroom walls or curb and joined at the corner with glass-to-glass clips and a vertical seam. This two-panel geometry is what separates a 90-degree layout from a curved enclosure (bent radius), a neo-angle (a third panel cuts across the corner at 45°), and a single-panel inline configuration.
One of the two panels can carry an integrated hinged swing door, a sliding barn-track door, or no door at all in a fixed-panel-only build where entry comes from an adjacent opening.

Most residential corner enclosures use 3/8" tempered heavy glass. We step up to 1/2" tempered for larger panel spans, heavier door configurations, or premium statement installations.
Hardware comes from CRL (C.R. Laurence), including sleeve-over-90 corner clamps, glass-to-glass clips, and U-channel at the header and curb. Finish options include brushed nickel, chrome, matte black, and oil-rubbed bronze.

Corner enclosures fit three common configurations: primary baths where the shower is tucked into a defined corner footprint (the most common heavy-glass shower geometry in residential Northern Colorado floor plans), secondary baths with limited floor space, and custom new-construction baths where the corner placement preserves room for a freestanding tub or longer vanity run.
Every project starts with on-site templating, including a squareness check at the corner: most framed bathroom corners are slightly out of plumb or out of square, and the heavy-glass panels are fabricated to that actual geometry rather than a nominal 90°. The squareness check is the fit-quality step on this layout and the reason in-house fab matters on corner geometry.
Custom 90-degree corner enclosures install in 1–2 weeks from approved measurement, vs. 2–3 weeks for vendors who outsource fabrication out of state. The vertical seam where the two panels meet is sealed with a clear silicone bead during install to prevent water intrusion at the corner.
Squeegee the glass after every use to keep mineral spotting and soap film from building up on the panels.
Skip ammonia-based and abrasive cleaners; use a non-abrasive glass cleaner to protect the glass and hardware finishes.
Check the corner-seam silicone annually and have it re-sealed if it shows wear or separation.
Consider an optional factory-applied Diamon-Fusion hydrophobic coating for hard-water defense on the Front Range.
A 90-degree corner enclosure is built from two perpendicular heavy-glass panels meeting at a right angle in the bathroom corner, often with an integrated hinged or sliding door on one panel. A neo-angle shower uses a 5-panel layout where a third angled panel cuts across the corner at 45°, creating a faceted opening; a 90-degree corner stays at two clean panels meeting at the corner. Moffat fabricates and tempers the heavy-glass panels in-house in Northern Colorado to the specific corner dimensions of each bathroom.
Yes. One of the two corner panels can carry a sliding barn-track door instead of a hinged swing door, depending on the floor-space layout. Sliding doors save the swing-clearance footprint outside the enclosure, which works well in primary baths where vanity or door clearances are tight. Hinged doors give a wider opening and a cleaner frameless line when the clearance allows.
3/8" tempered heavy glass is the default for most residential 90-degree corner enclosures. For larger panel spans or premium statement installations, 1/2" tempered glass is available. The door panel typically matches the fixed panels in thickness, though heavier-door configurations may step the door up to 1/2" while the fixed panels stay at 3/8".
Moffat installs most custom 90-degree corner enclosures in 1–2 weeks from approved measurement. Vendors who outsource fabrication out of state typically run 2–3 weeks; our Northern Colorado shop tempers and finishes every panel locally. Install day itself is usually a single day once the glass arrives.

I do not hesitate to recommend Moffat Glass
"We needed our patio screen door replaced. Moffat answered the phone (something that 3 other businesses did not do), scheduled someone to come measure the same day, manufactured our non-standard sized door and installed it within a week. We have yet to hear from the other businesses we contacted who told us they would 'get right back' to us. The quality of customer service was very good. Everyone was friendly, professional, and expressed appreciation for our business. I do not hesitate to recommend Moffat Glass. They have been in Greeley for a long time and I can see why they have lasted."
I will absolutely be using Moffat again and I highly recommend them!
