Most Moffat custom semi-frameless enclosures use 3/8" tempered safety glass, the residential standard for this category. 1/2" is available for larger panels and a more substantial visual presence.
Clarity options include clear (standard float), low-iron for an ultra-clear look that removes the green tint of standard glass, frosted / acid-etched for privacy, and textured / patterned glass (rain, reed, satin) for design-forward bathrooms.
Every panel meets ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201 Cat. II, required by code on all shower glass. Moffat tempers in our own shop, which is what makes the 1-2 week lead time possible.

Moffat builds semi-frameless shower enclosures with CRL (C.R. Laurence) hardware, the industry standard for residential heavy-glass shower work. Hardware components on each build include wall-mount hinges, handles, pulls, clamps, and brackets, fitted to the glass and the slim framed channel that anchors the enclosure to the wall jamb.
The frame finish coordinates with the hardware finish, so the jamb channel and the hinges read as one design decision rather than two. Available finishes (frame and hardware together) include brushed nickel, matte black, polished chrome, oil-rubbed bronze, brushed gold, and satin brass, picked to match the room's plumbing fixtures and cabinet hardware.
We template the actual opening: out-of-plumb walls, non-square corners, and jamb conditions. Semi-frameless enclosures are sensitive to the jamb because the framed channel anchors to the wall, so we verify the substrate on site.

Northern Colorado's hard water leaves mineral deposits on shower glass. Squeegee after every use, clean weekly with a non-abrasive glass cleaner, and consider a Diamon-Fusion factory-applied hydrophobic coating, which Moffat is an authorized applicator of, for water-spot resistance.
