Most Moffat custom frameless enclosures use 3/8" or 1/2" tempered safety glass. 3/8" is the residential standard. 1/2" is the premium-tier upgrade: heavier, more substantial visual presence, wider opening tolerances.
Clarity options include clear (standard float), low-iron for an ultra-clear look that removes the green tint of standard glass, frosted / acid-etched for privacy, and textured / patterned glass (rain, reed, satin) for design-forward bathrooms.
Every panel meets ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201 Cat. II, required by code on all shower glass. Moffat tempers in our own shop, which is what makes the 1-2 week lead time possible.
