SHOWERS

Custom Shower Enclosures for Johnstown Homes

We design and install frameless, semi-frameless, and framed shower enclosures sized to your bathroom, not to a nominal opening. Every shower starts with an on-site template so the glass meets the tile and curb cleanly. Johnstown's new-build luxury master-planned communities like Thompson River Ranch and Pioneer Ridge are specifying frameless heavy-glass showers as design centerpieces from day one, and we coordinate directly with design-build firms working those projects so the templating step lands at the right point in construction sequencing. Glass is cut and tempered in our Evans shop, then installed with premium hardware engineered for long-term alignment and corrosion resistance. Because we fabricate the heavy glass in-house, custom shower enclosures install in roughly 1 to 2 weeks from approved measurement, compared to the 2 to 3 weeks typical when vendors outsource fabrication out of state. Frameless, low-iron, and patterned glass are all available; finishes range from polished chrome to matte black and brushed nickel.

MIRRORS

Custom Mirrors for Johnstown Homes

We cut and install custom mirrors sized to the wall, not the box-store sheet size. Vanity mirrors, wall-to-wall sheets, decorative framed pieces, gym and dance studio installations, and closet door mirrors all start from on-site measurement. For new-build vanities across Johnstown's master-planned communities, we template around tile, outlets, and trim so the mirror sits flush without forced gaps. We also handle mirror repair work: re-silvering edge-damaged pieces, replacing cracked or chipped panels, and swapping older clip-mounted mirrors for cleaner adhesive or hidden-channel installs. Edge work runs from standard flat-polished to beveled and ogee for higher-end residential projects.

RAILINGS

Glass Railings for New-Build Decks & Patios

Glass railings work for decks, stairs, balconies, mezzanines, and pool surrounds. We install frameless structural railings, post-and-clamp systems, standoff (point-fixed) railings, and capped top-rail designs. Glass is typically 3/8" tempered for interior runs and 1/2" tempered or tempered-laminated for exterior decks, with hardware selected for Front Range UV and freeze-thaw exposure. Installs meet Colorado-adopted IBC guardrail heights (42" at decks and balconies, 34" at stair runs) with engineered hardware spacing for load. Glass railings are particularly common on walkout decks and patios across Johnstown's master-planned communities, where Pioneer Ridge walkout-basement plans and Thompson River Ranch lot orientations put real value on keeping the Front Range view uninterrupted.

IGUS

Foggy Window & IGU Repair in Johnstown

An insulated glass unit (IGU) is the sealed double-pane piece inside a window frame. When the seal fails, moisture gets between the panes and shows up as fog or condensation that won't wipe away. We measure the failed unit, confirm whether the IGU alone has failed or the frame needs attention, and order a factory-built replacement sized to the existing sash. Replacement IGUs typically run 5 to 10 business days for any installer in the region, since they ship from the manufacturer regardless of who's installing. New units carry a 10-year pro-rated manufacturer warranty on the seal. For Johnstown homes with aging Front Range exposure, we'll also check adjacent units for early seal wear.

WINE

Heavy Glass: Wine Rooms, Partitions & Doors

Wine rooms are the category Johnstown has put on the map for us, and they're what we lead with on this page. Heavy glass at Moffat Glass is wine rooms, wall partitions, and heavy-glass doors, all fabricated and tempered in our Evans shop, sized to the exact opening rather than ordered as stock panels. In Thompson River Ranch, Pioneer Ridge, and Roberts Farm-style luxury homes, glass-enclosed wine rooms read as architectural showpieces in open-plan layouts, so we offer low-iron (ultra-clear) glass for maximum transparency on bottle displays, insulated double-pane options for climate-controlled enclosures, and custom-cut doors and panels rather than modular kits. Hardware is CRL (C.R. Laurence) on premium heavy-glass doors and partition channels, specified for long-term alignment under daily use. In-house fabrication keeps the lead time at 1 to 2 weeks from approved measurement on wine rooms and heavy-glass partitions, against the 2 to 3 weeks that comes with outsourced cutting.

STOREFRONT

Commercial Glass for Johnstown Businesses

We at Moffat Glass handle commercial glass for low-rise Johnstown properties up to four stories: storefronts, entry systems, interior partitions, commercial mirrors, and tenant-improvement glazing. Johnstown's I-25 corridor frontage and growing downtown commercial inventory drive steady work in storefront replacement, office buildouts, and small retail glazing, with the four-story low-rise cap as the consistent ceiling on what we take on. Hardware is specified by application: FHC (Frameless Hardware Company) commercial sets for entry and storefront work, butt-glazed channel systems for interior partitions, and tempered laminated layups where impact resistance is required. We work with general contractors, property managers, and design-build builders on quoted scopes. Curtain wall and high-rise glazing are outside what we do.

CUSTOM

Custom Glass: Tabletops, Shelves & Specialty Cuts

We cut protective tabletops for wood and stone furniture, custom shelves for bathrooms, displays, retail fixtures, and curio cabinets, and one-off specialty pieces like replacement panes, oddly shaped insert glass, and custom-fit fillers for furniture repair. Edges are flat-polished, beveled, or pencil-polished depending on the use. Because we cut and finish in our Northern Colorado shop, turnaround on small custom pieces is short and we can match a template traced on paper or measured on site. Urgent broken-glass replacement is dispatched same week from our Evans shop, ten miles north.

Questions From Our Neighbors

What's driving the wine-room and heavy-glass demand in Johnstown new builds?+

Johnstown's new-build luxury master-planned communities are specifying wine rooms as architectural showpieces, not utility storage. Open-plan layouts in Thompson River Ranch and Pioneer Ridge homes put a glass-enclosed wine room in the eye line from the kitchen and great room, and low-iron glass keeps the bottle display reading clean. Request a consultation to start.

Can Moffat install a custom heavy-glass wine room or shower in a Thompson River Ranch or Pioneer Ridge new build?+

Yes. Every install starts with an on-site template, so heavy glass at 3/8" to 1/2" thickness is cut to the actual opening, not a nominal size. Premium hardware mounts cleanly on new-construction framing, and we integrate with builder timelines on Johnstown master-planned community projects. Reach out for a site measure.

How does Front Range climate affect glass and hardware on Johnstown homes?+

Front Range thermal swing, low humidity, UV exposure, freeze-thaw, and seasonal hail all shorten the life of cheap glass and hardware. Tempered glass handles impact and thermal stress better than annealed; quality hardware resists dry-cycle corrosion; east-facing exterior glass benefits from laminated layups; UV-prone west-facing mirrors hold up longer with sealed silvering edges. Spec'ing for orientation is what separates a 5-year install from a 25-year install. Schedule a site assessment.

What's the timeline for a custom shower door or wine room in Johnstown?+

Custom heavy-glass shower and wine-room projects typically run 1 to 2 weeks from approved measurement to install, against 2 to 3 weeks for vendors who outsource fabrication. Our 4-step flow is on-site measure, in-house fabrication and tempering, schedule and install, final walkthrough. Tight schedules on new builds fit cleanly. Request a quote.

Does Moffat serve both residential new construction and commercial properties in Johnstown?+

Yes. We serve Johnstown's new-build luxury residential market with wine rooms, frameless showers, partitions, glass railings, and mirrors, and we handle commercial work up to four stories along the I-25 corridor and downtown inventory, covering storefronts, entry systems, and interior partitions. General contractors and design-build builders welcome. Schedule a consultation.
